Miami, 26 de agosto de 2013. ConAgra Foods Inc. (CAG), in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, on Sunday recalled certain Kroger Co. (KR) chocolate chip cookie dough packages, as customers allergic to peanuts could be adversely affected by these.
Kroger is asking its customers to check their refrigerators and freezers for recalled Kroger Break ‘N Bake 16 oz. chocolate chip cookie dough packages with a “use by” date of November 24, 2013. It said the product may contain peanut butter cup cookie dough.
There have been no illnesses reported so far in connection with the product.
According to the company, people who are allergic to peanuts could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the cookie dough. Customers who aren’t allergic to peanuts face no safety issue with the product.
The recalled items were sold by Kroger, Dillons, Baker’s, Gerbes and Foods Co., among others, in 26 states.
Kroger said customers who may have purchased the affected products will receive register receipt messages or automated phone calls. The company is also placing signs in stores.
Kroger said customers should return the product to stores for a full refund or replacement.
